WATER ACTIVITIES
Prepare to be seduced as you dive into the water! Water. No smell, taste or color, yet it is so diverse and varied. Namely, the soil here is rich with both mineral and thermal water, so the prosperity of the Rogaška Slatina and Terme Olimia Health Resorts is by no means a coincidence without natural conditions. Family experiences
Families will enjoy and truly experience the regions of Obsotelje and Kozjansko. Amidst the green meadows and forests, you can meet fairy tale characters in the Land of Fairytales and Imagination. Enter the kingdom of safari animals or go down the wild water slide in Aqualuna. On colder days, have fun in the indoor pools, where a unique water party for the whole family is provided. Here you can create your first ski experiences on the ski slopes of the Janina ski place. Observe and feed the deer at the Deer farm Jelenov Greben. In the Kozjansko Regional Park you can admire the native animal and plant species. Get away from the city hustle and enjoy the simple farm chores on the farms in the area with your whole family. Cycling
Do not just mount a bike for a healthy body, but also to experience the nature and culture of Obsotelje and Kozjansko. You can cycle on the forest paths or organized cycling routes, alone or with your family, for a professional or recreational purpose. Cycling tours lead across a diverse landscape, following natural and cultural attractions and including resting stops to taste the local cuisine.

Šmarje - Virštanj Wine Tourism Road - VTC 10
When we imagine a picture of a general Slovenian landscape, most of us imagine a vineyard on a little hill (and a vineyard cottage) in front of us. Wine cellars, named gorce in Obsotelje and Kozjansko, are pressed tightly together on the ridges of the sunny vineyard slopes. The architecture is old and new, traditional and modern, but it seems that both styles walk hand in hand to create a recognizable landscape of the Šmarje – Virštanj Wine Tourism Road (VTC 10). Many events, especially in autumn, offer an insight into the old customs as well as the ultimate oenological experience, since St. Martin’s Day is considered to be one of the most important folk holidays in this area.

Hiking
There is an unthinkable number of hiking opportunities across the whole area of Obsotelje and Kozjansko. Suitable routes are appropriately marked, so pick up a route map or rent a GPS device in the nearby tourist information center, so you don’t get lost. A part of the European long-distance path (E7) and other pilgrim routes, which have become increasingly appealing these recent years, cover the aforementioned area.
The Kozjansko Regional Park offers diverse and tidy walking paths within the protected nature conservation site, as well as the Boč and Donačka gora Landscape Parks.
Skiing
Slovenia is a land of small ski resorts which are family-friendly as well as suitable for beginners, children and experienced skiers. Here, you can also find the lowest ski slope in Slovenia, Janina ski resort. The ski club Rogaška organizes an Alpine ski course for all generations which is carried out on natural and/or artificial snow-covered foundation. There are 50 skilled ski instructors for the 1st and 2nd-level categories and one ski demonstrator.
Riding
In the horse saddle through unspoiled nature, exciting riding tours for beginners and experienced riders, competitions, field riding … It’s a paradise for every horse enthusiast compelled to go for a ride!
The Strmol Equestrian Club in Rogatec offers seven organized equestrian routes of varying length and complexity, presenting excellent field riding near sightseeing spots, through unspoiled beech forests of Donačka Gora Mountain, where you can still meet an occasional chamois, along the valley of the Sotla River, across the idyllic village paths, past tourist attractions.
Golf
The golf course in Olimje is situated in the typical landscape of this part of Slovenia, between hills and vineyards. A golf course with nine holes and an exercise area are only 3 kilometers away from the Terme Olimia resort. A diverse golf field with nine playing segments will be a pleasant challenge as each hole requires a different approach.
